WHO Roll Back Malaria: An
excellent and informative website that contains links to numerous WHO
publications as well as general information surrounding malaria
issues such as treatment and diagnosis, vector control, and travel.
Roll Back Malaria Partnership: Contains information on the
current activities of the partners involved in rolling back malaria
as well as links to useful publications and updates of current happenings in
the area of malaria prevention.
Malaria Foundation International: links to online journals,
global malaria initiatives, and over 130 other malaria related
websites.
Center for Disease Control (CDC):
Contains up to date information on the malaria situation and
activities taking place all over the globe. Also has a link for
travelers.
National Malaria Control
Center (NMCC): Contains information on the government's role and
activities in the area of malaria prevention in Zambia.
Malaria Advocacy
Africa Malaria Day:
information including events, media coverage, and the history of
African Malaria Day since 2000.
Drive Against Malaria:
updates and info on David Robertson's quest to drive through the most
countries in one vehicle to raise awareness and funds for malaria
prevention. Includes "where is he now?" and upcoming drives.
Africa Fighting
Malaria: Africa Fighting Malaria is an NGO which seeks to educate
people about the scourge of malaria and the political economy of
malaria control.
Malaria Consortium:
The Malaria Consortium works with partners to scale up interventions
to improve the prevention and treatment of malaria and communicable
diseases.

Population Services International (PSI):

NetMark: Public-private
partnership for sustainable malaria prevention.
CORE: The CORE Malaria Working
Group supports existing national collaborative partnerships and
promotes new partnerships in which NGOs can actively be engaged in
national level policy formation and innovative programming to scale
up malaria prevention and control.

JHPIEGO: An affiliate of Johns
Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, USA. They work in close
partnership with universities, ministries of health and

to educate, train and support health care personnel to provide
high-quality services.
Vaccine Information
Medicines for Malaria Venture:
A
nonprofit organization created to discover, develop and deliver new
affordable anti-malarial drugs through effective public-private
partnerships.
Malaria Vaccine Initiative:
MVI is a PATH program funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Their mission is to accelerate the development of malaria vaccines
and ensure their availability and accessibility in the developing
world.
Finances
International Monetary Fund:
The IMF was established to promote international monetary
cooperation, exchange stability, and orderly exchange arrangements;
to foster economic growth and high levels of employment; and to
provide temporary financial assistance to countries to help ease
balance of payments adjustment.
Presidential Malaria Initiative: In June 2005, President Bush
launched the President's Malaria Initiative (PMI) to help control
malaria, with the targeted goal of preventing 50 percent of malarial
deaths in 15 of the worst-hit countries. PMI works with host
countries in coordination with international partners,
nongovernmental organizations, faith-based and community, groups, and

World Bank: The World Bank is a development Bank which provides
loans, policy advice, technical assistance and knowledge sharing
services to low and middle income countries to reduce poverty.
World Bank Global Strategy and Booster Program: PDF document,
provides the basis for the booster program for malaria control that
is designed to accelerate malaria control and progress toward the
MDGs.
USAID:
USAID provides economic and
humanitarian assistance in more than 100 countries to provide a
