Together let us roll back malaria in Zambia
In
a project called School Health Program under the Ministries of
Health and Education, Barclays Bank Zambia Plc has partnered with
Zambia Malaria Foundation as part of the Roll Back Malaria
partnership, to co-publish an educational book that will form part
of the school curriculum. In a bid to ensure that no child leaves
school without knowing what malaria is and no youths becomes a
parent without knowing what malaria is. 'Knowledge shared is
knowledge gained.' The book will be distributed in conjunction with
the Ministry of Education and it's primary objective is to sensitize
readers about the dangers of malaria and what is needed to control
the disease. The Zambia Malaria Foundation has also willingly agreed
to donate a substantial number of Insecticide Treated Nets (ITNs)
that will be distributed to the aged and orphans under its equity
programme through the Barclays community Social Investment Program .
